Matthew Shide graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, double majoring in Entrepreneurship and Management, from the University of North Dakota. Before joining the firm in 2018, Matthew worked in the private equity industry for three years with Dakota Venture Group, investing capital in start-up businesses across the Midwest. This opportunity led him to eventually join Edgewood REIT where he worked for two years. Matthew was born and raised in Southern California and has strong ties to the Midwest where he has rooted himself.
Matthew is an Associate member of the National Multi Housing Group based out of Marcus & Millichap's Minneapolis office. He has successfully been involved in commercial real estate for the past four years. As a specialist with the multifamily team, Matthew's focus is on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily properties, specifically in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, having a license in both Minnesota and Iowa. The multifamily team is responsible for 31 transactions closed and $110M total sales in 2019 alone.
