Kevin Smith advises corporate, institutional, and private clients on the acquisition and disposition of office, retail and mixed-use assets. Kevin's team focuses in the Carolinas with specializations in retail, office, and mixed-use assets. Kevin arrived in commercial real estate with a background in urban development, investment banking, and law. He earned a B.A. in Urban Development from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. He is a member of the Clarence Darrow Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. After college, Kevin started his career as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and later progressed as an investment banker and eventually co-founded and was a principal for Luther, Smith & Small, a full-service institutional broker-dealer.
