Gimlet Labs Secures $80 Million Series A Funding Led By Menlo Ventures

Property Image
Gimlet Labs, a San Francisco-based startup founded by Zain Asgar, Michelle Nguyen, Omid Azizi, and Natalie Serrino, has raised $80 million in a Series A round led by Menlo Ventures, bringing its total funding to $92 million. The company, which emerged from stealth in October 2025 with eight-figure revenues, builds a "multi-silicon inference cloud" that orchestrates AI workloads across chips from NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, ARM, Cerebras, and d-Matrix, optimizing each stage of an AI task for the most suitable hardware. Gimlet claims this approach accelerates inference three to ten times while reducing idle hardware costs, and the new funding will be used to expand its team and scale its inference cloud infrastructure. Colossal Biosciences In Talks For Funding Round Targeting $23 Billion ValuationColossal Biosciences, the de-extinction biotech startup known for its efforts to recreate the woolly mammoth and other extinct species, is reportedly in talks to raise new funding at a valuation of roughly $23 billion–$24 billion, according to Axios. The potential raise would mark a significant jump for the five-year-old company, with investors valuing not only its genetic-engineering programs but also its broader genomics, reproductive technology, conservation, and intellectual property platform. Colossal has begun generating revenue through conservation technology sales and technology spinouts, including Astromech, an AI-driven predictive modeling company, and Form Bio, a computational biology platform, expanding its value beyond de-extinction efforts.
