Bending Spoons Acquires Airtable For $1.28 Billion In Cash Transaction
Bending Spoons has agreed to acquire spreadsheet and database startup Airtable for $1.28 billion in cash, marking its first acquisition since going public last month. Founded in 2013, Airtable has raised more than $1.4 billion and, while it was valued at over $11 billion during the 2021 market peak, its valuation has since fallen significantly. Bending Spoons said Airtable’s current enterprise value is about $2.25 billion after accounting for its net cash position. Highlighting the company’s growth, Bending Spoons founder Luca Ferrrai noted that Airtable’s annual recurring revenue increased more than 20% year over year to approximately $480 million as of June 2026. Earlier this year, Airtable also expanded its AI offerings with the launch of its Superagent platform, and CEO Howie Liu said the company serves more than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100.
