Validia, a San Francisco-based startup founded by Rishi Bhargava, launched a free product called “Truely” last week in direct response to Cluely, an AI-powered cheating tool that went viral for its claims of being “undetectable” and usable for cheating in job interviews, exams, and other scenarios. Truely aims to tackle this growing concern by triggering an alarm if it detects the use of Cluely during such activities. The move comes amid rising competition, as other platforms like Rhode Island-based Proctaroo also claim to offer detection of Cluely users. Validia's Truely product is part of its broader strategy to provide ethical solutions to AI misuse, positioning itself as a key player in the emerging market for anti-cheating tools, especially as AI continues to disrupt traditional methods of assessment.
