Maritime Fusion, a San Francisco–based fusion energy startup, has raised $5.5M in Seed funding to advance its HTS cable technology and accelerate development of Yinsen, its low-power-density HTS tokamak aimed at bringing fusion power to commercial shipping ahead of grid-scale adoption. Led by CEO Justin Cohen, the company secured backing from Trucks VC, Paul Graham, Alumni Ventures, Aera VC, Y Combinator, and several angel investors.
