Glenn Tolchin is a founding principal of Upland Property Advisors. With 17 years of New York City commercial real estate experience, Glenn leads the investment sales advisory process, overseeing property marketing, negotiation, and new business development. He has been directly involved in the sale of over 150 New York properties, valued in excess of $12 billion. Completed transactions have included office, multifamily, development, hotel, retail, and mixed-use assets.
Prior to founding Upland, Glenn was a Managing Director with JLL Capital Markets, New York Investment Sales, a position he held for nine years. While at JLL, Glenn developed the high-level institutional experience, sophistication, and investor relationships that form the core of his professional network. Upland Property Advisors combines this institutional experience with the commitment, focus, and execution of a boutique operation.
Prior to joining JLL in 2010, Glenn was a Senior Director for the New York Capital Markets Group at Cushman & Wakefield. He specialized in middle-markets transactions, with responsibilities that included business development, marketing strategies, financial underwriting, and deal execution. Prior to 2004, Glenn was with ABS Partners Real Estate, where he managed and leased seven Class B Manhattan commercial office properties. He was responsible for all leasing, operating and tenant matters, including negotiation of lease terms, capital projects, building services, and tenant fit-outs.
Glenn graduated the College of Business and Economics at Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and received his MBA from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business in New York City with a concentration in Finance. Glenn is an active member of the Young Men’s & Women’s Real Estate Association of New York, serving on the Board as Treasurer and Governor. Glenn is a licensed associate real estate broker in the state of New York and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
